If you want to buy expired domain names, then listen up. It is a lotharder than you think.
A while back I wanted to buy expired domain names and so I startedsearching the net looking for deals. I found an awesome deal onmydancestudio.com for only $9.99 through GoDaddy - it was going to expire at atime that was really close to when I had looked it up, so I decided to wait fora few days longer and then snatch it up.
Being unfamiliar with the process, I really got my hopes up. I counted down tothe day it would expire, getting all psyched that it was my first experience onhow to buy expired domain names.
Well, what I found out is that the expiration date is a joke. At least throughGoDaddy it is, anyway. The domain is not up for sale, and the owner gets like60 days of email reminders to decide whether they want to keep it or not AFTERthe expiration date - making it nearly impossible to snatch something up basedon expiration. And even then, it takes another 30 days after that to get itanyhow. Sheesh!
