cheap domain name registration

I have several business ideas, most of which would involve an online marketplace. Curious about what cheap domain name registration sites had to offer, and what they considered "cheap" to be, I went looking around online to find out.
I found that a lot of cheap domain name registration sites offer domain name registrations for a very reasonable fee for the first year, usually within $10. Many are much cheaper than that. That basically pays for a domain name, though. If I wanted to add a web page or web hosting to my package, or if I wanted a premium domain name or to purchase bulk domain names, there are more fees involved, and annual fees can become expensive. Domain names must be renewed at some of these cheap domain name registration sites. Several sites will allow me to transfer a domain name, if I decide that I don't care for the package that I have someplace else.
So, with a bit more research and a lot more consideration, I may be able to find just the right package and deal that I am looking for before starting my online business.
