If I were opening a new business, what domain extension would I use for my cheap domain name registration? If I were a teacher at a school, what domain extension should I expect to have on the end of my classroom website? If I worked for the federal government, would I have a website for my business, and if so, what would the domain extension be for that? Depending on your business, there are different types of domain extensions. I have rounded up a list, just to name a few. The first is .gov. Every time that I want to check on my tax return status or a bill that is passing through congress and has caught my attention, I would go to either a state or federal government website. These sites are always identified by the domain extension ".gov". My son has forgotten to write down his homework assignment, or I have yet to receive that letter telling me when I should come in to school for fall orientation. The school's website is going to end with ".edu" as its domain extension. I am opening my own business, and I want to get a cheap domain name registration online. Chances are, my commercial domain is going to have the extension of ".com" at the end of it. These are some of the most common types of domain extensions that I will always find online.
